This course meets or exceeds the 2005 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care.
Basic life support (BLS) includes recognition of signs of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), heart attack, stroke and foreign-body airway obstruction
(FBAO); cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR); and defibrillation with an automated external defibrillator (AED). This class covers
the basics of Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation, foreign body airway obstruction (Heimlich Maneuver) and use of an Automated External Defibrillator as set
forth in the AHA 2005 guidelines. The course covers the same material as the American Heart "BLS for Healthcare Provider" and American
Red Cross "AED/CPR for the Professional Rescuer" classes.

Our First Aid course adheres to the same guidelines as set forth in the American Heart Association's "Heartsaver First Aid Course".
Each of us does everything possible to prevent accidents but despite this, accidents do occur. There may be times in your life that you are called upon to
act quickly and perform first aid on a victim, whether it’s a minor or very serious injury. When an accident happens, time is not on your side.
Besides a well-stocked and functional First Aid Kit, the skills you will learn in this course are the most important tools that you can have.
